The company SOUFFLET AGRO a.s. with its place of business in Prostějov was established as a subsidiary company of GROUPE SOUFFLET that entered the Czech market already in 2001 under the name SLADOVNY SOUFFLET ČR, a.s.

To understand better the business activities of the company it is necessary to mention shortly its parent company the Soufflet Group. Already for four generations, the Soufflet Group has cultivated its identity. Rooted in the soil of France's Champagne district, the family company that has been maintained for more than a century demonstrates its ability to develop on international markets. Active from the beginning of the chain with collection, it also specialises in primary conversion: malting, milling and maize processing. The company’s understanding and involvement in the cereals sector place it as a vital player on the world malt market and one of the main millers in Europe. The company also goes along with expansion in Eastern Europe, especially in malting. The Group that now operates in 20 countries started the policy that enables to meet new challenges and issues in the food and agriculture industry both in Europe and world-wide.

In 2001 the Soufflet Group entered the Czech market. In 2003 the company Soufflet Agro s.r.o. was established to cover business activities of the above mentioned company in the Czech Republic. In June 2007 growth of the company and new market needs resulted in merger of three companies Selekta, a.s. (seed expert) with its place of business in Prague, GA AGROCHEM a.s. (agrochemical expert) with its place of business in Staré Město near Uherské Hradiště and SOUFFLET AGRO a.s. (business expert) under the name SOUFFLET AGRO a.s. Soufflet Agro a.s. as an agro-business company manages activities of all three above mentioned companies and its main task is to provide a comprehensive agricultural service from testing new varieties of field crops and technical consulting to deliveries of certified seeds and agrochemicals, collection of malting barley and other commodities intended for alimentary, feeding and industrial purposes.

The team of business representatives covers the whole Czech Republic and its members are ready to provide farmers with all business and technical services based on results of field trials and experience exchange within the club DIAMANT members.

The headquarters of the company is in Prostějov. The company also possesses 4 cleaning stations located in Litovice, Chotětov, Vraňany and Kojetín, 3 silos intended for storage of agricultural commodities in Řeporyje, Spomyšl and Kojetín and last but not least storehouses for agrochemicals in Staré Město near Uherské Hradiště.

SELEKTA as the own seed brand of the company SOUFFLET AGRO a.s continues in the tradition of a significant seed company established already in 1909 as one of the first seed companies in the former Czech countries focused on multiplication and breeding of agricultural crops. The brand of Selekta that guarantees the high quality seed strengthens step by step its position on the Czech seed market.
